In Maria Farm, people interested in hunting have the chance to shoot with a gun or photo camera. It is possible to hunt roes, wild boars, moose, brown bears, lynx, wolves and beavers in the forests of Pärnu County. Hunt takes place approximately half an hour away from Pärnu in hunting grounds where there is an excellent game fund. Moose hunt is the most preferred one but wild boar and billy-goat hunt are also popular.
Game hunting seasons are the following:
- Moose 15 September - 15 December
- Wild boar around the year
- Billy-goat 1 June - 30 September
- Sandpiper 1 August - 3 November
The following is necessary for hunting: hunting weapon, weapons permit, hunting certificate, valid shooting test certificate.
Pheasant hunt
Pheasant hunt can be organized on the territory of Maria Farm. A requested amount of birds shall be delivered for the hunt, the birds are released and after that the hunt can begin.
Sporting i.e. shooting of flying saucers with a gun.
